The château du Lude celebrates May

May announces the arrival of sunny days. During the week-end of the First May, activities await the all family.

A treasure hunt in the garden  invites to discover the celebrations of First May all around the world. At the end of the hunt, the children receive a diploma.
The hunt is the occasion of a pleasant walk in the gardens, with their specific atmospheres. In the rose garden, the first flowers are showing, while the lilacs perfume the lower garden along the river, and the frogs sing in the ponds between the waterlilies. In the spring garden, the peonies show their vivid colours. Around the castle, the moat and the underground tunnels are a perfect place to play. The children can also get lost in the tow mazes. The visit ends with the stables, the saddlery and the coaches room.

In the caslte, the Playmobil exhibition delights  young and old. Hundreds of figurines illustrate in nine scenes the life in the castles from the Middle Ages to our days.
During the visit of the castle, the children can become knights or princesses with the costumes at their disposal.
