Discover the old-fashioned jams of the Château du Lude!

On 15th August, this is the occasion to reactivate the old wood stove of the 19th Century in the medieval kitchen.
Sunday 14th  and Monday 15th, delicious jams are made with the fruits from the kitchen garden. Strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb and apricots slowly stew in the copper pans, under the expert eye of the cooks.
Once cooked, the jams are put in jars. Taste them on tasty creps and take home some jars of your favorite recipes.

Have a family walk in the gardens

In the park, the various gardens offer to the visitors different atmosperes, from the medieval moat to the botanical garden passing by the french garden and the rose garden. The kitchen garden is excepitonaly open on those days. Here are grawn the vegetables and fruits for the table of the house. Arround them, the flowers attract pollinisating insects.

Discover the yesteryear life in the North Tower

The 3 floors of the North Tower, entirely retaured, plunge the visitor back in the castle’s life at the end of the 19th Century. There are the hunting room, the guests’ appartment, the linen room and since this year, the chapel  and the staff appartment.
Durinf the visit, the children can become a princess or a knight , with the suits at tehir disposal.
